How to Connect Roku TV to WiFi Without Remote iPhone?
Here I go some methods of how you can connect Roku TV to without a remote-
I consider this method the easiest of all, so I’ll start with this one. Here I’ll elaborate on the method with easy and simple steps-
If you want to use your iPhone to change your Roku WiFi network settings, first connect the iPhone to the same network Roku TV is connected to. With this, you can use your iPhone as a Roku TV remote. (This method will only work if your Roku is online, if it’s offline, then please use Ethernet Cable.
Now, from the App Store, please download the Official Roku TV App and install it. Once the app is installed, open the app for the main function. At first, the app may show you some small tutorials to give you some heads up. Then, you will need to sign in. You can use your Roku account to sign in or use the app as a guest.
When your Roku TV App will be installed and launched, it will detect any Roku devices nearby with the same network. Find the option “Devices” and from the list, select your Roku TV and tap on your device to build the connection.
At this point, on the Roku TV app, a virtual “Remote” sign will show up at the bottom of the screen. Please, tap on “Remote”.
Now, on the top-right corner of the “remote”, you’ll see the gear sign which is settings. Tap on the settings to access the remote control. In the settings, find “Network” and in network “Set up connection” and select “Wireless”. Then, there’ll be a list of all networks. Select your network and enter the password.
Once your Roku connects with the new network, your virtual remote will be disconnected. Then, your Roku TV will restart automatically and connect to the new network!
Method 2: Using Ethernet Cable
If you don’t have your Roku online, then get an ethernet cable for help. First, I want to mention this option will work if your Roku is available with an ethernet port for example- Roku Ultra or Roku Ultra LT. Here comes the steps-
Firstly, collect the ethernet cable from your router to your Roku. Even though Roku Smart Soundbar or Roku Express don’t have an ethernet port, you can use a USB-to-ethernet adapter for these.
After you connect your Roku with the ethernet cable via a router, your Roku is now online. On your iPhone, from the App Store, please download the Roku TV App and install it. Once installed, open the app and then you may sign in using your Roku account.
Find the option “Devices” in your Roku TV app and tap on it. You’ll find a list of available Roku, select your Roku to establish the connection.
Step 4: Find “Remote”
At the bottom of the screen, a “remote” sign will show up and tap on it. Now, as your phone and Roku are connected, you can use your iPhone as a remote!
As you’re using your iPhone as a Roku remote, you can build any new connection any time you want. When you connect the Roku to the new network, you can unplug the ethernet cable.
If you want to get your Roku online using your iPhone, then go to “Settings”, then find “Network”, select “Set up connection” and choose “Wireless”. On the wireless, you’ll see your WiFi network and use the password! Then, you’ll be connected!
